Project Overview
SPOT AI is an AI-powered platform that helps journalists detect, verify, and respond to climate-related misinformation in real time. It monitors online platforms, flags false claims, tracks emerging trends, and delivers location-based alerts with verified context—enabling faster, more accurate reporting. I built the user-facing dashboard to handle high-volume data streams without lagging. Journalists can now filter millions of social posts instantly to find the few that matter, verifying sources before misinformation spreads.
The Problem
Journalists were overwhelmed by the velocity of climate misinformation. Verifying fake news manually took hours, allowing false narratives to go viral before corrections could be issued.
